Sue Veer (pictured left), President/CEO of Carolina Health Centers, was chosen to participate in The Arts Center of Greenwood’s Battle of the Brushes. Veer was paired with Amber Reese (Upstate SC artist – pictured right) to create a piece to be auctioned as a fundraiser for the Arts Center. As “Team Transformers”, their collaborative piece, titled Turbulence and Transformation (pictured below), sold for $1,100 to support The Arts Center of Greenwood and its programs.
Veer said, “My artist partner, Amber Reese, is committed to looking ‘Beneath Her Skin’ and developing works of art that reflect the inner person. Our painting, titled ‘Turbulence and Transformation’, illustrates both the turbulence and resulting transformation I have experienced in my life, giving birth to the hummingbird – a creature committed to pollinating the world for beauty and goodness.”
