Rural Health Services, Inc. Welcomes a New Provider

Aiken, S.C. (January 16, 2025) – Rural Health Services is thrilled to welcome Dr. Calen Matos, DNP, CPNP-PC, a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, to our healthcare team at the new Women & Children’s Health Center.  Dr. Matos brings four years of experience in pediatric care and a deep dedication to supporting the health and well-being of children and families in the Aiken community.

Dr. Matos earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Augusta University, specializing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Her clinical expertise, coupled with her compassionate approach, makes her an invaluable addition to the Rural Health Services team.

An Augusta, Georgia native, Dr. Matos grew up surrounded by her close-knit extended family. During nursing school, she met her husband, and together they now share two wonderful boys. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, drawing, DIY projects, and playing tabletop board games with her family. A devoted animal lover, she is also the proud owner of two dogs and a black cat.

Dr. Matos is excited to offer high-quality pediatric care to families in Aiken, bringing her passion and expertise to help children thrive. Rural Health Services is proud to welcome her to the team and looks forward to the positive impact she will make in the community.
